INSPIRE! Workshop

Co-operatives First INSPIRE! workshops introduce groups to co-operatives, providing them with a better understanding of the business model and how it might align with local opportunities.

Besides providing a brief introduction to co-ops, the Co-operatives First team spends a good deal of the time supporting the group through connecting ideas, exploring case studies and answering questions.

This workshop is a great option for groups or communities looking for options to increase business, economic and community development.

GOOD GOVERNANCE MATTERS ONLINE COURSE

This online governance course has been developed in partnership with the Centre for the Study of Co-operatives at the University of Saskatchewan and is hosted on the platform Canvas. The course introduces key concepts in the governance of organizations. The course content draws on case studies of corporations and co-operatives.

This course is a great tool for those looking to increase their leadership skills and knowledge.

What you get

6 week online course with a choice of either general, badge or certificate (certificate is cohort only and offered once/year in the fall)

CFCE SURVEYS

For groups interested in engaging their community about a specific set of needs and opportunities, Co-operatives First can develop and host a survey that community leaders can distribute and use to collect responses from community members.

Surveys like these tend to be used to gauge interest in participating in a co-op, initial market analysis and soliciting feedback on a town hall or community meeting.
